In the East, it’s believed that we are microcosms of our environment and that
we should live in harmony with nature. To most of us living in the city, that’s
often an unattainable ideal. With city life comes everyone else’s noise
and motion, needs and demands, leaving our own physical and mental state in
danger of being drowned out by the clamour.
We can put a stop to all of that. The balance of our mind and our body is too important to ignore.
All of the treatments at Saharah Health are complementary; they don’t offer alternative cures. They should be used as a prevention against ill health and if necessary, alongside conventional medicine. Whatever your needs, Sarah will work with you, the individual, to achieve your optimum health. Sarah offers individual health treatments within central London, either clinic-based or in her clients’ own homes. Benefits are cumulative and follow-up treatments are highly recommended for full physical and mental well-being.
The Japanese word ‘shiatsu’ can be split into two parts: ‘shi’ meaning finger and ‘atsu’ meaning pressure. But when Shiatsu is used as a treatment, it’s more about touch and gentle manipulation techniques, to enhance the physical and psychological wellbeing and flow of energy. Bad posture and nutrition; too much reliance on alcohol or drugs for our feel-good factor; stress; lack of deep, quality sleep. These are just a few of the negative strands that become woven into the fabric of our everyday lives. And often we don’t even notice until our energy levels have become low; our sleep patterns no longer leave us feeling rested; our mental wellbeing feels balanced on a knife-edge, with mood swings all too common. We need to connect with something deeper. It’s not an accident that massage, herbal treatments and diagnostic philosophies have been practised in the Far East for centuries.
