About Sarah

The wisdom and philosophy of the far east and, in particular, Shiatsu, lie at the core of Sarah’s healing. The ethos behind Oriental Medicine is to prevent illness rather than cure it. Because Shiatsu is about keeping the mind and body in balance, it does more for your whole well-being through the use of massage and palpation, meridian stretches and joint mobilization. Sarah uses classically based diagnostic skills to assess all her clients individually. This involves listening, observing and sensing, building up a holistic picture of the areas that need attention.
Through ten years of training and honing her skills to suit the individual, Sarah has studied an array of healing arts that can help awaken the dormant energy that often lies ignored and untapped within us. Of particular benefit are Sarah’s specialities, Shiatsu in Pregnancy and Shiatsu Facials. Often a combination of different treatments may be more beneficial to the individual. As well as Shiatsu, Sarah’s treatments include: Ayurvedic (Abhyanga) and Holistic massage to restore physical health and relax the mind. This is also extremely beneficial if you suffer from migraines and headaches.
Bach Flower remedies are a different form of holistic healing but these focus more on the mind and its ability to maintain health.
Acupressure and holistic medicine; yoga; energy-healing and Reiki are also on offer should the need arise.

“ totally recommend Shiatsu during pregnancy! I personally had weekly session from the 5th month (only because I wasn’t aware of it earlier!) till after birth. It’s so relaxing! That’s one thing but what’s wonderful is that whatever the discomfort you have from pregnancy (yes yes there’s a few) a shiatsu session can help. I remember one time specially where I was experiencing breathlessness, when I mentioned it to Sarah she said she will work on that. I left with full breath and it stayed! I could felt moves of a happy baby in my belly during sessions. I don’t know if it’s linked, pretty sure it helped ,but my son is a very happy and smily baby boy. ”
